The Bastion of King Władysław IV, Wawel Royal Castle in Kraków

The Bastion of King Władysław IV (Wawel Royal Castle in Kraków), is a remnant of one of the three Gothic towers erected by the Polish King Władysław Jagiełło. In the 16th century, it was transformed into a „Basteja”. After further alterations, an equestrian statue of the Polish national hero, Tadeusz Kościuszko, was erected on a new circular platform in 1921.

Scope and type of the restoration works included:

  • Comprehensive mortar technology to repair brick and stone threads of facades.
  • Application of the specially formulated mortars, factory-made, and coloured joints.
