The Gutenberg Townhouse in Lódź

The Gutenberg Townhouse in Łódź has an Eclectic facade, designed by Jan Petersilge, from 1896. The name comes from the Guttenberg statue placed in the central part of the building. In the interwar period, the building housed the headquarters of the Polish National Party. In the 1970s, it was named the most beautiful townhouse in Łódź, in a competition by the local newspaper “Dziennik Łódzki”.

Scope and type of the restoration works included:

  • Specially prepared top-coat lime and trass renders, factory-coloured in the mass.
