District Court Building in Wrocław

The District Court building in Wrocław was designed as a neo-Gothic fortress, built of red brick, decorated with sand-coloured cornices and bands of yellow brick. It was built between 1845 and 1852. The Court building is one of the most impressive administrative buildings in the city. It forms an important part of the development of the former Exercise Square (now Liberty Square).

Scope and type of the restoration works included:

  • Mortar technology to restore brick facades.
  • Lime and trass mortar specially prepared in colour and brick putty.
  • Hydrophobisation (creation a water-repellent effect) of the building.
